FAQS

Q? Where is a smoke detector required?

A. Smoke detectors are required to be in every bedroom and on every floor of the home. Carbon monoxide detectors are required to be on every floor of the house that has one or more bedrooms.

Q? I recently purchased a new home. How can I be sure that the wiring is done right, so that my family will be safe?

A. We can inspect all of your outlets, fixtures and other devices for safe wiring methods. We will also inspect your electrical panel to make sure everything is wired properly.

Q? Why does my breaker keep tripping?

A. One of the most common reasons is that you are overloading the circuit. To solve this issue, we can run a dedicated line to the appropriate area.

Q? Why should I upgrade my service?

A. There are many possible reasons to upgrade your existing service.

Maybe you need more power. Are you planning on adding a dormer/extension to your home? Central air conditioning? A pool or spa with an electric heater? Any of these could place excessive electrical requirements on your current system.

People also change their existing  service because of water damage or corroding.

No matter what the reason, GTE will be able to accommodate your needs.
